HONOLULU, HI (February 2, 2016) — Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach unveiled an extensive $20 million renovation of its 403 guestrooms and suites. Taking inspiration from the hotel’s location nestled in the heart of Waikiki and its spectacular views of the ocean, mountains and Diamond Head, the all-new guestrooms boast contemporary wood furnishings in dark ebony suffused in a soft teal and sea-foam color scheme, and completed with tropical themed artwork. The updated bathrooms feature modern fixtures and a striking vanity and backsplash that complement the coral colored accent walls.
“We are thrilled to have our valued guests experience our all-new accommodations matched only by our same exceptional commitment to service and quality,” said Charles Young, general manager of Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach.
With enhancements to all three guestroom towers complete, a refresh of the hotel’s lobby and lobby bar is currently underway. The hotel will remain fully operational during the redesign period.
“This has been a very exciting project for us,” said Jim Motonaga, a project manager from ADI Design Group, the company contracted by Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach for the renovations. “The guestrooms have been completely redesigned, the bathrooms and hallways have been updated considerably, and we are enthusiastic about the design concepts we have planned for the hotel’s lobby and lobby bar. We project that renovations to the lobby and lobby bar will be completed by March.”
